I posted on the other thread.
Is this the family

It's better to stick to one thread or it gets very confusing.

Hi ,

My grandfather was Thomas Mooney son of Thomas Mooney and Eliza Mooney nee Fox , I never knew my grandfather , and was wondering if anyone has any information . They family moved from Morristown Kildare to Dublin .lived in bow bridge St Dublin.

Maggs   ;)

My family are also from that area, so I've gathered up a good bit of info over the years, bit tight on time at the moment though.

Ah I see it's the Blacktrench Foxes, so neighbors of my lot. I've come across them quite often.
Eliza and Thomas marriage

I'll got to for the moment but I'll have a look at the Fox family later if you want.

I see the marriage was in 1927 in St Patrick's Pelletstown
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/marriage_returns/marriages_1927/09104/5293242.pdf

do you know in what context she would be there ? how old was she when she died to try and get an idea of her birth year

Laurence Fox and Bridget Nolan married 8 Oct 1857, Barrettstown
https://registers.nli.ie/registers/vtls000634417#page/30/mode/1up
second last on right hand page

I wonder if they may have lost a baby as the first baptism is
Michael 6 Jan 1860 Blacktrench
https://registers.nli.ie/registers/vtls000634418#page/12/mode/1up Top left
Mary 9 Feb 1862 Blacktrench
https://registers.nli.ie/registers/vtls000634418#page/16/mode/1up Top Left
Eliza 26 May 1864 Derrees
https://registers.nli.ie/registers/vtls000634418#page/22/mode/1up Top Left
John 29 July 1866 Blacktrench
https://registers.nli.ie/registers/vtls000634418#page/26/mode/1up Top Left
Derrees is across the road from Blacktrench, but it says Blacktrench on her birth cert.
Barrettstown is beside Blacktrench.

I should add the Caragh Parish register is a mess, it's possible there are children missing from this list.
More later I hope!
