Robert Gerald Hawksley: Maughold
« on: Thursday 12 January 12 16:44 GMT (UK) »
Hello

Looking for information regards Robert Hawksley. He died 17 October 1943, and seems to be buried there.

Was he married? Is there a death notice? Possible to get a picture of his grave?

he was buried 17 Oct (presumeably died a little before ?) - only person with that name buried on Island
you could ask on http://www.isle-of-man.com/genealogy/messageboard/index.pl as a regular poster has a transcribed copy of Maughold regs to see if burial reg has more detail
The IoM Times is digitised as part of British Library newspapers scheme and access to this is often possible via larger libraries (all Manx papers pre 1964 are digitised and available on Island at iMuseum Douglas (part of Manx National Heritage)
any thing with a Manx Connection
