« on: Saturday 14 January 12 19:19 GMT (UK) »
I have a death cert which states the residence of the deceased was "White Lums", Rescobie. Does anyone know of a house with that name in the area? Thankyou

Hi Ev..yes his name was James TOUGH. His sister in law was Jane (Jean) TOUGH nee MATTHEW. The MATTHEW family were farmers at Balnacake, so I am assuming that as he was single he died at her home instead of his own.
I just wondered if it was still there today?

The 1881 census has James Tough age 52 unmarried , Balnacake cottar ho. Aberlemno Forfar(shire)
living on his own , born Rescobie
Can't see any reference to a "White Lums" on the 1881 census
