Thomas Nugent b. c1866 (American Subject)
« on: Sunday 15 January 12 14:18 GMT (UK) »
Where did he go? Who is he? Where are his roots?

I find Thomas Nugent in 1901 census of Toxteth Park, Liverpool, England aged 41 listed as a tramway labourer, an American Subject with wife and child

I find his marriage in 1894 at St Matthias, Liverpool, England to Johanna QUIRK, where he is listed as a cattle foreman aged 28 - his father is listed as Patrick Nugent, deceased, slater

I have not found him in 1911 census or in the England and Wales death entries

(- yet his wife in 1911 is living with another man as his "Mrs" but remarries as "spinster" with her maiden name to him in 1913)

What became of the mysterious Thomas Nugent?

How can I find out about these American roots and how can I be certain I have the right family?

Many thanks

and in 1911 census of Crossgate Elvet St Giles, Durham, England there is a widower Thomas NUGENT age 50 (prisoner) born Dublin, Ireland as a ship's fireman

are these the same person or could they be my missing Thomas Nugent who has not been completely truthful??
