Preece, emigrated to Ontario 1870's ?
« on: Wednesday 18 January 12 17:18 GMT (UK) »
Hi there,
Just wondering if anyone can help with any info on Thomas Preece and his wife Eliza who emigrated to Alvinston, Lambton, Ontario in the early 1870's ?
Thomas Preece married Eliza Hay at Wordesley, Staffs  in October 1868.
They began married live at Alveley, nr Bridgnorth and had two children Thomas ( abt 1869) and William (1870).. and then emigrate ( no idea of exact details ?)

Between 1871 and 1891 they have a further nine children - Elizabeth, John, Fanny, Lucy, Samuel, Leslie, Florence, Albert and Eva. ( all born Canada)
Ring any bells with anyone ? :) :) :) :) :) :)

You didn't say exactly what you needed, so you must have them all on census ?
William married Annie Jane Reader, 1900 http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~granniesgarden/Granny1/lammarr2.html 3 births and one death for the couple here http://www.rootschat.com/links/0jum

I'll give you the death of Eva Ellen Rapin, as she died in B.C. 1961  https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/FLTC-JV8 Her husband Emile Arthur Rapin died in in B.C. 1977 https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/FLBY-SG5 but the death of a son Charles Leslie Rapin shows birth in Calgary Alberta https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/FL1V-Y5S so if this marriage is in Alberta we won't be able to access it. BMD info=$

Is this along the lines of your request or do you have all this? If you are more clear then we'll look where you ask, so as not to waste any time ( looking for the other nine, WHEW busy lady)

Some of my lot from Somerset emigrated to Ontario in 19th C and I tracked them down working backwards from their deaths that I found on the OCFA  [Ontario Cemetery Finding Aid].  It's free to search.
Hope this helps.
