Marriage

Can anyon look up a marriage for Alexander MacGregor, born in 1875 in Dufftown,Banffshire.  I was told he married someone called Irene, who was the Matron of  an alcoholic institution on the Isle of Man.  He later became Superintendant.     I have a marriage in West Derby, Liverpool for an Alexander MacGregor to Martha Annie Maclean from Donegal so I'm not sure if he re-married or divorced and then went onto marry this Irene or if I have the right person.  I don't know when he went to the Isle of Man.  I have his death certificate in 956 at Braddan Inifrmary but it doesn't give much information.  It was signed by member of staff.

Alexander's parents were Alexander MacGregor and Jane McDonald

Have you looked for him on the 1911 census to check his marital status/wife's name

There is an index match to West Derby and the 1911 index on GRU shows birthplace as Dufftown Banffshire
