Wedding Day! A Date and sharpen if possible
« on: Sunday 22 January 12 16:42 GMT (UK) »
Could anyone give me a date for this? I wonder if it could be sharpened up at all as well. I would be really grateful. Thanks, Sol

Hello Soloman, welcome to Rootschat.

Early 1890s by the looks of the ladies' dresses, around 1893 or so. The lady on the right has an early leg-of-mutton sleeve on the dress...these got larger and larger until they went out of style around 1897.

If you post any more photos for dating, please show the outer edges uncropped, and also the back if there is any printing on it, as these are dating clues.

Cheers,
China

Do you have a marriage around 1893, then? I don't mean your own ;D

I love the lad down the front, with the reluctant cat ... and the decorated pot plants!  ;D  Great photo, Sol!
