Marriage Lookup for Henry Hewitt 1847-1922

I am having difficulty finding a marriage record for Henry Hewitt b 1847 Aston, Derbyshire d 1922 Shardlow.
He would appear to have married between the 1881 and 1891 Census and first child born in Sep 1881.
1891 -1911 Census shows his wife's name to be Amelia and she was born 1853/1855 in Ashbourne. I found a Mary Harriet Morrall who married in Jun 1880 but she wasn't born in Ashbourne and her name isn't Amelia.
I would appreciate anyone being able to give me a marriage place, date and her maiden name for my Henry Hewitt's wife. I have checked all data available to me on the internet.

I can only see one born Spinkhill    Is he in the same area all the time as the marriage you refer to was in Derby registration district.

There's a marriage for Henry Hewett Northampton 3b 101 Sep Q 1883.

There's an Amelia Maria Young on the same page.

Perhaps the mother of the 1881 child died and he remarried?  Getting the birth cert. for the child is the only way to be sure.

Yes I saw that but discounted it. These were relatively poor people who spent their lives in a close knit community. [I am not sure but I think I looked up AMY's birthplace and it wasn't in Derbyshire] Thanks for the input anyway.

I am puzzled by this family.
1891 -living in Alvaston which is Shardlow district.
Emma is born abt 1881 in Alvaston but does not show in Shardlow for her birth.
Is she the one registered in Basford, December 1881?

Mary Harriett Morrall married the other spouse so that would leave Ruth Bailey as the bride to Henry Hewitt in 1880.
Henry and Ruth Hewitt are living in Derby in 1881.

Where do you have Henry in 1881?

To answer your questions - I believe that Emma was born 2 Sep 1881
The 1881 Census shows Henry unmarried.
I have discounted Morrall/Baily and Young for various reasons and came to Roots in the hope that there was some kind foot soldier going to the record office
I too am puzzled in other areas of this family.....!

What records would you hope to find at the record office?

You have Henry in 1861, 71 and 81 - I can't see him in any of those.
There doesn't appear to be a marriage to search.

There is no registration for Emma Hewitt in Sept or Dec quarters 1881 in Shardlow or Derbyshire.  However Arthur's is there in 1884 and Clara's also in 1889. These birth certificates would give you the mother's name.

There is no Amelia with the same surname as the Emmas born in those two quarters in Shadlow - so who are Emma's parents?
