Did you purchase the records that you found did they give a townland and witnesses?

Do you have any approximate dates for the life of Anastasia birth, emigration, death and where in Australia did they all live?

Will keep looking myself in the mean time

There are funeral details here for Sisters Baptista and Brendan Kenneally: http://ryersonindex.net/search.php

It might be useful to contact the congregation they belonged to as congregations often keep records about their members.

This entry seems to fit with Templeorum mentioned earlier:

Good find Sonas and according to www.rootsireland.ie Thomas in 1911 census father was William.

In the 1850 Griffiths Valuation of Garryduff there are two Kinealy's households recorded in Garryduff with the heads Thomas and Patrick Kinealy. (One of these is probably William's father)

If you look on www.eircomphonebook.ie there is still a Thomas Kenneally living in Garryduff (think this is same townland as census) and there also a few more Kenneally's of interest in phone book in area.

In the 1901 Census http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Kilkenny/Templeorum/Garryduff/1446825/

In 1901 Ellen Kenealy/Kenneally/Kinealy nee O'Neill is still alive aged 80 and says she was born in Tipperary.

Hi Sonas, thank you for the links and information your have sent to us, we will follow up and see where everything fits, much appreciated.

Hi Castlemcauliffe,

Yes we purchased the records for the three Michael, Catherine & James you found and the details:

Michael Kinnelly, born 24/7/1839
William Kinnelly Father & Ellen O'Neil Mother. Witnessed by David Buler & Ellen Shea, Address Garryduff, Parish of Templeorum

Catherine Kenealy born 19/10/1841
William Kenealy father, Ellen Neal Mother
Witnessed by John Commerford & Mary Kenealy
Address Garryduff Parich Templeorum

James Knealy born 7/7/1846
William Knealy father & Ellen o'Neill Mother
Witness Patrick Kenealy & Ellen Malone
Address GArryduff, Parish Templeorum

Have no other info on Anastasia, but looks like might be in the links Sonas has found. Still to follow up.

Thanks for the links to the phone book and the census etc.

I think that with the different spellings we may have missed a lot of information so will go through everything again just to make sure we are on the right track.  What you have given us has been most helpful and in our search we have come across Kenealy Mcauliffes so we might be distant connections.

Have spent much time searching and I think that being new to the search we certainly were not aware of some of the places you have guided us to.

Looking at the details of Ellen Kenealy/O'Neil you have mentioned, if she was 80 in 1901 then she would have been born in 1921 with Michael born in 1839 she would have been 18 and David in 1858 she would have been 37 which certainly fits the time line we have.

Will dig deeper and deeper and again your help has been very much appreciated.  Would not have known where to look without your help.
Cheers John

Hi Castlemcauliff,

You have been so helpful to us in our search and we would like to prevail upon your patience further, when we go into roots ireland and search for the various people such as Wiliam Ellen or Thomas for example, what other information do you key in to bring up the info that in 1911 census that Thomas father was William, when we do same we get a huge number of thomas's.  Obviously we are not doing it correctly.  Could you please enlighten us?
Thank you John

Hi Sonas,

We have looked at the notices for the sisters that you sent us and they appear to fit the time line too so we are going to follow through further and see if we can connect Thomas & David Kenealy as brothers.
Thanks for your links, we are very grateful. Cheers John

Hi again :) If you go to marriages for TEMPLEORUM (RC) (filter for this only) Thomas Kenneally is getting married in 1899 and if you do an advanced search with William as his father as first name it shows a positive result.

Garryduff, Piltown, Co.Kilkenny is very close to Co.Tipperary and Co.Waterford. And is counted as the Parish of Owning and also the Parish of TEMPLEORUM at different stages.

If Ellen O'Neill was born in Tipperary they might have married in her home parish. But can't find any such marriages to match in Tipperary or Kilkenny.

Might be worth writing a letter to those in phone book. I currently live less than half a hour from the area in question.
