Hi All,

I am looking for information related to the following Person

WOOD, Louisa Ann

not sure when or when she was born, only an approximate year date of birth, the other thing i don't know was if she was married more than once etc.

The information that i do have is as follows

Married 1883 NSW
Reg.806/1883
Groom ROBERTS, Matthew
Bride WOOD, Louisa Ann

Died 1915 NSW
Reg.5243/1915
Last Name: ROBERTS
Given Names:Louisa A
Fathers Name: John
Mothers Name:Elizabeth

she was approximately 80 when she died so that would make date of birth around 1835

I have searched also on Trove and found Death and Funeral Notices but the is no mention of her side of the family in them.

Any assistance with her details and family information would be greatly appreciated

Do you have either of the certificates?  They should both tell you where she was born.

sadly no i dont have either of the certificates birth or death at this point

more of i have just discovered it by accident that she was 2nd wife of one of my forebares, actually throught reading death notices on Trove

it mentioned in the notice her age at death so basically deducted 80 years from 1915 hence approximate year of 1835

As you say this is a second marriage for Matthew ROBERTS and, given her age, it looks as though it may be a second marriage for Louisa as well which makes it even harder to find her.  It does look, from the funeral notice, as though she did not have any children.

I think getting her death certificate may be the only way to trace her

Hi Judith,

yes makes it a lot harder to find out if ii her second marriage

With a lot of other searches, i thought i would ask online as previously loads of others researchers have helped as they had been researching either families or persons i was looking for.

Its always good to see that there are so many kind people to assist when  searching.

So maybe the Certificate of Death may be last option to try
