Hello,

Normally when a DC states "not certified" there was no Doctor or qualified Medical Attendant to verify the death.  This happened frequently more often than not when folk could not afford to "see the Doctor"

cheers ....  Meg

Hello

No NHS in those days, and therefore no regulations to govern cause of death (unless obviously accidental or suspicious).    Did you check if she'd given birth within a month or so of her death date???  Just in case her death was childbirth related.

regards .....  Meg
