1841 - 1851 lookup Cuthbertson - Darlington, Durham

I am trying to find the name of the husband of Elizabeth Cuthbertson of Bondgate Darlington. I believe she died in 1856 aged 79. One of her sons was Whitfield Cuthbertson and the name Whitfield has passed down the generations either as a firstname or middle name. There is also a connection with the surname Longley.

I would be grateful for any information

Well I certainly did not expect a reply to my request so long after I posted it.
Since then I actually purchased  the 1841 Census and managed to find the very feint entries for the Cuthbertson family after a long search.  However I did not have the 1851 information and this is brilliant.

I know this information must have taken you quite some time to find and I wish to thank you very much for your hard work.

Hi David,

I realise it is a long time since your post but I have been helping a friend with their family history.

She is related to Whitfield Cuthbertson born c1829 whose parents were Thomas & Elizabeth Cuthbertson who were born c1798.  I have Whitfield's 1st marriage to a Jane Green & his 2nd to Elizabeth Longley. 

Is this the same family you are researching?

Could you tell me where your Thomas Cuthbertson was born.  I have a Thomas Cuthbertson baptised in Topcliffe in 1789.  His parents were John and Sarah Cuthbertson from Asenby in Yorkshire.

The only information I have is that Thomas Cuthbertson married Eleanor Mossman in 1797.  They had a son called Thomas who at some point in his life moved to Darlington from Northumberland.
