Obituaries for Rhuddlan 1982 & 1993

I have 2 deaths registered in Rhuddlan in 1982 & 1993 and am trying to find obituaries, if there were any.
Has anyone got suggestions?.

Well Mike,about three years ago now I was in a similar position enquiring about a relative who died in the Rhyl area.I contacted Rhyl Library and they were able to send me a photocopy of both the obituary and the funeral reports in the local paper.The telephone number for Rhyl Library is;
01745-353814.

Good evening Mike:

I use to arrange funerals in the Rhyl area.
Obituaries (if requested) were printed in the Rhyl Journal, Visitor(both weeklies) and the Liverpool Daily Post. The Visitor is now defunct.

Have a look on iannounce.co.uk which is the site of the Journal announcments.
Enter the name and see if they did the obituary, but I don't know how far back it goes.

If you do speak to the library the date of the paper will be the Wednesday after the death.

Good morning Eldon

Thank you for your suggestion although I had already looked on that site and they don't go back far enough.
I contacted Rhyl Journal yesterday and they said that the only way to find obituaries from the 80's & 90's is by visiting them as their records are on microfilm and as this is out of the question for me, I'll just have to forget about that part of the search.
