Upwell St Peter Burial 1828
« on: Sunday 05 February 12 18:05 GMT (UK) »
Does anyone have access to the Upwell St Peter burials please for 1828 and could check an entry to see if there are any further details, such as abode please? ;D

There is an Isaac Ray buried there in 1828, sorry don't have a full date, aged 33 years.  We're missing a burial for an Isaac in neighbouring Suffolk but know he died sometime between 1821 when his daughter was baptised and 1837 when his Uncle wrote his Will.  There is no sign of him in Suffolk.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Nicola

As it's 2.5 years since my original post, just wondering if anyone now has access to the Upwell burial registers please and could see what other information there may be (such as abode possibly) for this Isaac Ray who was buried in 1828 please. ;D  Familysearch are showing the burial as being 30 August.

Can't find anything in the newspapers to give any indication of who this Isaac was but interestingly it's not far from where is brother was living at the time in Downham Market.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks for the reply, however I have found in the past that the CFHS online index doesn't always include all the information - the full date being one of them. ::)

As that Isaac doesn't appear to have left a Will, may have to hope a newspaper announcement turns up at some point in the British Newspaper Archive to confirm his identity. :-\

You're right, it doesn't, it is after all an index, but if there's additional information it has an asterisk indicating that you need to consult the parish register for that extra detail. And there's no asterisk!
