Hi does anyone have any information on Ann Stanton born Midleton about 1814.She emigrated to Aust .She was in Sydney and married by 1842.
If possible I would like to find her parents.

Do you know what religion she was? Any clues to what her parents name might be maybe she name children after them. I presume no death cert for her?

Hi, I have Marriage for Ann Stanton to John Russell on 6th December 1841, St James Melbourne, NSW Aus.

I live in Midleton, so will take a look at Church Records to see if there is a record of Anns Baptism.

Unfortunately, she was born too early for Census 1901.

Hi, visited Church records today unfortunately they start at 1819.
Also tried Church of Ireland (used to be RC Church) they have no records.

There are several Stanton families in Midleton RC Cemetery, but without any further information it is difficult to move forward.

The only Ann Stanton I found in Midleton RC records was 13/4/1826 with parents William Stanton & Beth (Elizabeth) Quirke.  In those time people tended to have large families and births could have been over a number of years.
I will take another detailed look at records next week to see if there are any Stanton births from 1819 onwards.
Do you think the marriage record I gave you is relevant?
Are you a relation of the Stanton family?

Thanks for that,I already had the marriage record but anything that crops up re her parents I would be very interested in.Yes the Stantons are related.
