Could anyone help me with a marriage in the Scarborough district?

Looking for Jeremiah Dunnill m. 1894 (Mar. Qrt.)

Not only do I want to find his wife but I need to know who his father was.
Any details appreciated. Thanks.

Is it a coincidence that there is a Jeremiah Dunnill listed as married in Mar quarter 1849 in Scarborough? (Vol 24 Page ?1)

There is also a Jeremiah Dunnill married in Wakefield in June quarter 1878 Vol 9c Page 77.

It was most unusual for a Dunnill to venture to Scarborough!
They  came from the Wakefield area and if they travelled they seemed to go to Leeds or Sheffield area.
This Jeremiah could be one of about four. Am interested to find out which one he was.

I found this in Scarborough Library today.

St Marys Scarborough Marriages

5 February 1849

Jeremiah Dunnill Wid. of Wakekfield and Mary Pyle Wid.

There are no Dunnill marriages recorded in 1894

I am sorry. I typed the date back to front on my original message. How stupid is that !!
I appreciate the lookup, great info.
What I now need to find out is which family was this Jeremiah from. I have a possibility of four. It helps to know that he was a widow. Was there an occupation for him or a father?
Any poss. of anyone finding him on the 1851 census?

There was no occupation or father listed I'm afraid.

There is a Mary Dunnill in the Scarborough census index for 1851, but no Jeremiah.  I will have a look at the film next time I can get to the library.
