A Big Thank You
« on: Saturday 14 May 05 04:49 BST (UK) »
Hi all,

l just wanted to say what a really great site this has been for me, a couple of weeks ago l asked for a look up on my great grandfather in the 1851/61 census, a couple of days later l received a pm from a chap its turns out his gggrandfather was my ggrandfathers brother and he has given me my ggrandfather line and will share the rest of the family with me.

To Trystan and Sarah my grateful thanks for creating such a wonderful site and the kind people who help us with our search.

Hi tarnee,

It's great

][/color] this place isn't it!!  ;D

Getting help from complete strangers (who turn into friends) - makes all your hard work worth while.

And after a bit you realise you can answer a few questions yourself - on your favorite topics - makes all my "trainspotting" days in my youth now seem worth while!  8) 8)

It's nice to be able to talk to like minded folk - used to think only I was so "stupid" as to spend hours looking for dead folk!

Cheers

Keith

I also found a 'relative' in Ireland who is researching my Mum's Great Grandparents ... I was thrilled to bits, so was he.... we still haven't found them ... but at least there are now two of us looking  ;D

And Keith is so right .... so many wonderful new friends to chat to every day ... help with research, whilst having a good laugh to brighten up the day.

Trystan and Sarah should be proud of such a marvellous achievement.

Thank you all for replying to my post, l must say l have to have my daily fix of loggin and seeing what has been posted, to  brighten my day. You are all a wealth of knowledge and willing to share that with us newbies, l had  only been with the forum a few months and did not expect to have that happen. l agree whole heartedly that Sarah and Trystan should be proud and elated that they have created such a site.
