Boston Passenger & Crew lists 1820-1943?
« on: Friday 10 February 12 22:01 GMT (UK) »
Not sure if this is the correct place, but I am looking for information about Leslie Norman Ferrett born 1914 Hendon, Middlesex and something I've come across suggests he may have emigrated.
He could be on the lists as Leslie Horman Ferret.

Thank you very much! That is him. And that's his wife (my G grandmother) as his relative.  At least now I can tell my Nan where her dad went.

I have spoken with my grandmother...and she has confirmed they lived in King street when she was about 5.

Not yet, because I don't have much knowledge of searching those records and wouldn't know where to begin. But I do have his residence at time of marriage as HMS OSPREY, Portland. I just can't figure out the bit under Rank/Profession.

Hi, came across this website by chance last night!! Leslie Norman Ferrett was my father, he was a CPO in the Royal Navy, and spent some time as a submariner. My mother Williamina (his second wife) tells me that he would have sailed to America to train US mariners in Submarine tactics, hence the secrecy. His first wife (Catherine) died from cancer around 1958, there were no children from this marraige. He married my mother in 1960. The link with Dorothy Ferrett relates to his brother Robert's second or third wife. My father was in fact born in Hendon, as you correctly state in one of your postings, and died in 1978, aged 63, and was cremated at Medway Crematorium. If you need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
