I have a death for Andrew Anderson -tennent in Rives and one of ye Elders

Does anyone know what this might mean.  In parish of Kilconquhar
Addis - London, Australia
Spencer - Godmanchester, Norfolk, Yorkshire, Australia
Tovey - Birmingham, Australia
Anderson - Kilconquar, Perth (Australia)

Rives was where he lived, as a tenant. He was an elder of the parish kirk. If you look at the minutes of the kirk session of the parish (available in the National Archives) you may discover an entry for his election to the eldership and details of some of his doings as an elder.
