Royal East Kent Reg (The Buffs)

Family lore is that he was killed by Arab militia while serving in Palestine.
Other REKr soldiers died in Palestine on that day (Feb 6 1939);

L Cpl 6285574 R Cooper,
Pte 5181782 S E Burr
Pte 6285506 J Wilson

I am hoping there may be some old newspapers reports of these 4 men who died together on that fateful day.

Hi

I’m the great niece of Pte Burr.  There are publications regarding their deaths.  The dragon is the regimental journal.  The actual date they died is June 2nd 1939.  I’m trying to research this more.  If you want to join forces more than happy to do so !
