Ann Nightingale Birth/Baptism Completed with Thanks
« on: Monday 20 February 12 04:10 GMT (UK) »
I am seeking help to locate the birth place of Ann Nightingale.

The information I have is that she was married in Kirkby Malhamdale in 1817 to Joseph Stott. As I have Family Search, and Kirkby Parish records agreeing I think it can be assumed it is correct. The Family Search record states that Joseph was 31, and Ann 21 when married. This puts her year of birth about 1796(ish)

FreeReg has no record for a 10 year period around 1796 for anywhere in Yorkshire.

Family Search has 5 possibilities
03 Apr 1796 at Dewsbury, York to Robert and Elizabeth
5 June 1791 at Dewsbury, York to Thomas and Ann
5 Mar 1790 at Preston by Hedon, York  to William and Mary
22 Apr 1800 at Bridlington,York to William and ?
30 Nov 1794 at Darton,York to Joseph and ?

Kirkby Malhamdale info has no baptism for Ann between 1790 and 1800.

Could anyone please point me in the right direction as to  which one could be correct, or point out where I have gone wrong? I think I have covered all possibilities, but stand to be corrected if I am looking in the wrong place.

All help gratefully received.

Thanks for the website, Sandra.  I have had a look there, but they say there is no baptism record for Ann Nightingale between 1780 and 1800. I take a wide stretch just to make sure, but no luck :'(

Thanks for that, and i will use it in future where applicable
