Does anyone have any info regarding records of births at Sea in the late 1800's?

Thank you for responding.

I am looking for Isabella Gilley born at sea on 30th October 1888. I have a certificate of Baptism (Jan 12 1890) naming her parents as John and Mary Gilley.

Mary Gilley and Isabella are listed in the 1891 census as living with her brother and she is listed as a widow.

The births at sea index on Find my Past only goes up to 1887...

Familyrelatives.com gives free access to the Marine Births index for 1888 but there is no Gilley listed.

There is nothing in BMDRegisters/The Genealogist either.

So presumably she was not born on a UKregistered vessel.
