« on: Sunday 26 February 12 03:57 GMT (UK) »
Would you please look-up  a "Elizabeth Burrow" in 1841
census she may have been in the Broadmead area and her age would be in the mid 60's and a widow.

Regards
NC

Hi NC

If this is the correct Elizabeth above, she was my 4 x great grandmother. She was married to Joseph Burrows. I believe her maiden name may have been Hawkins, but I have yet to prove that.

regards

Sarah

Do you know when Thomas died.I can find a Thomas Burrow death in 1840.It's in Bedminster though and that's a fair way from Broadmead.

No it's not! ;D
2.5 miles from West Street or North Street.
1.5 miles (walking) from Bedminster Parade.

People did a lot more walking back then! ;D

I used to do the walk often when I lived on Malago Road!! ;D

A long way for census records KG,south of the river is it even in Bristol ;D.

Malago Road, know it well, some kind of club on that street I believe.

Bedminster used to be Somerset!
Somerset County Cricket used to play home games at the Wills Sports Ground in Bishopsworth ;D

The Bedminster registration district covered a very large area, but essentially all that south of the river.
And, with the Bristol coalfield in operation, there were large numbers of people living there.

What I meant was, it's not that far to commute/move between Bristol City Centre and Bedminster. ;D
