i've been a member of both for 10 years or so. Montgomeryshire GS is smaller than Clwyd FHS  but it's the one you need if the info you've given is correct. 

How well do you know the local area and information sources?  You don't give any indication of your  location in you're profile

Have you been in touch with Stormybay yet  - given the planned visit to the area?

I know the area reasonably well, having visited relatives in the 1990's.
Visited both Clwyd record office and the National Library of Wales. Would like to again, but not possible. Know of Stormybay's visit, but not the dates. You should be able to work out my location from my username - a long way up north, beyond the top of Scotland.

Yes - I did wonder. I am way north at the moment but not that far - I didn't think many lived there. 

Maybe you should contact stormybay and liaise.

I do contact Stormybay, but Canada is just a step too far from Shetland
