Greenbottom, Fordoun [completed]

Can anyone who lives in the area or is familiar with it give me any idea of where Greenbottom (or Greenbottom Wood) is or was, in Fordoun parish? I have a family living there around 1821, but can't find it in Thomson's Atlas or on the OS six-inch 1st edition map. I guess it must have been a very small place, perhaps just a farm name.

Look at entry , use the previous household/next household to give you an idea of where Greenbottom was located

You could also try the 1851 census transcription , I agree with your thinking that it was just one address

Enter Greenbottom in the top L/hand search box
Greenbottom Wood should come up , click on that
It looks like Greenbottom is South-East of Middleton(West of Greenbottom Wood)
