Sydney Morning Herald .. Death Notice / Obituary .. HELP PLEASE COMPLETED

I wonder if there is someone who can assist me please?

Marcus George Neill resident in Epping, Sydney, NSW died on 01/11/1989.  He is my cousin. 

Ancestry.Com records that is Death Notice was published in the Sydney Morning Herald on 06/11/1989.  Now here is the problem.

Trove has digitised newspapers but they are not available after 1982.  Google Newspapers have the Sydney Morning Herald but copies are not available for the week of 05/11/1989 including the 06th Nov...grrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!

I would really appreciate a copy of Marcus Neill's Death Notice if someone was able to assist please or knows of a way around the above problem.

There is no OBIT for Marcus Neill but possibly a death notice. The Syd Morning Herald has a online facility for searching OBITS up to today but not death notices.

You could try emailing their classifieds department for a possible lookup or contact your local library for same.

Unfortunately,  to my knowledge the Invercargill City Library doesn't have the Sydney Newspaper back that far.

I thought TROVE only had the SMH digitised to 1954 not 1982. 

Can't find that record on ancestry....is it attached to a tree?

Why don't you ask the State Library of NSW for a copy of the death notice.

I saw 1982 somewhere on Trove late last night but for certain was aware that the paper I required was not available.

I was on Roots Chat .. Chatterbox last evening and a lady in Queensland (Jackie or similar) told me that.  I dont have Ancestery at home and have to go into my local library to access.

Here is the death notice for you. It was actually in the SMH on 11 November 1989.
