Lamberts from Hawes

Am new to this website, but am researching lamberts from the hawes and askrigg areas mainly called francis and inter-connected with the thwaites, metcalfes, pratts and cloughtons from the same area. Please contact me if you have any info on the above, thanks sandra

Hello.   Welcome to rootschat.  I have some census index books for that area for 1841 if you do not already have them.   Do you belong to the Upper Dales family history group?    They are very knowledgeable and very helpful.

yep, francis lambert b. 1828 married mary thwaite b. 1828 hawes.
francis lambert b. 1797 mossdale, hawes married alice?
john thwaite b. 1774 hawes married mary chapman in 1801
simon thwaite b. 1743 hawes married rosamund pratt in 1766 at hardraw
simon thwaite b. 1717 askrigg married elizabeth teasdale.
simon thwaite b. 1687 married ann cloughton in 1713 askrigg

no didnt know there was a fhs for the upper dales, dont have the 1841 census stuff either, that would be very helpful thanks.

http://www.bishopdale.demon.co.uk/fhs/index.html  is the web site for the Upper dales group.  they have an email group who are really helpful.  I an always amazed at what they know about the locality and the people there.
