Wow!  That is amazing!  Even if it was not his funeral service, it certainly shows me what his would have looked like!  Thanks so much.  We are not traveling to Wales until September, mostly for holiday, but will be adding a bit of genealogy in whenever we are near potential sites.  Now this is making it even more exciting.

Hello Jamjar,

The answer to that question I would dearly love to know myself.  Dad was in an orphanage with a younger brother, and exactly where mom, his sister and other brothers ended up is a mystery.  The brother that ended up in the orphanage with dad died from a ruptured appendix.  He finally emigrated to Canada in 1923 where he eventually met up with is oldest brother.  But he never again heard from family back in Wales, and his brother died before I was born, so no info to be had there.  Our family was very out of touch with one another and I never even knew my dad very well, but did admire him a lot.  He died 30 years ago, so no chance to go back and ask questions, and older siblings don't recall much that he said.  As is often the story, we just don't pay that much attention when we are young!  I would dearly love to find relatives or at least infomation about his mother and siblings, but have so very little to go on.  Probably still have family on the other side of the pond!

I am assuming it is you who has posted the information on the other website. It would be wise to post the same here and I am sure you will get a lot of assistance with filling in those gaps.

Start a new topic with his parents' names.

Thank you for the suggestion.  I will have to look into that when I have a wee bit more time.  Right now I am in the process of trying to transfer all data and files from an old computer to a new one, and it is a daunting task!  Will definitely have to pursue that when I am done.

Hi again,
There is the Pontypridd workhouse /orphanage in this area, perhaps this is where the family went to.
