12th Suffolk Regiment

Hi

Looking for info on George Poole who apparently served in the 12th Suffolk Regiment for 17 years.  i think discharged in June 1897.  The writing was faded.  No regimental number to go with it either.

You will need to post his place of birth if you know it, and an idea of his age.

Sorry about that.  George was born abt 1868.  Depending on which census you read he was born Powick, Worcestershire or Ashleworth, Gloucestershire.

I think the first is the most likely.  In 1914 it states he was 47yrs.
