I see Michael on the census ...  pig iron blast furnace man... fit's with time spent in an industrial location like Dudley. Maybe some training ?

no sign of any Finnegan's or people from Ireland on that household. I think the marriage cert is the next step - should give you details of Mary's father...  which in turn narrows down your search for her birth in Co. Dublin. There can sometimes be other clues on marriages, like place of residence, witness that could be a siblings etc

It's not a definite match... but the best fit for Mary's birth that I see in extracted records on FamilySearch is probably this one in Skerries - which is about 8km south-east of Balbriggan :

  Name: Mary Finigan
  Birth Date: 20 Jun 1876
  Birthplace:  Skerries, Co. Dublin
Parents : Hugh Finigan & Catherine Nolan

Once you have Father's name & occupation from Mary's marriage cert you should able to confirm, or rule that out.. at least his name is fairly distinctive and not something like Patrick...

The locations on these extracted records are usually a sub-district rather than a town or townland, so the place of birth could be close to Balbriggan.

if that turns out to be the correct family - then two sisters for Mary... might be worth looking out for them in English census returns ..

  Jane Finagan, 18 Sep 1872
  Louisa Finigan, 29 Apr 1874

father is listed on some of the records as Hubert
