Help appreciated with rank
« on: Tuesday 13 March 12 13:31 GMT (UK) »
Hi

The attached medal record shows the rank as Ldg Sea, which, I understand, is Leading Seaman but what does (Jg) mean?

Thanks
Armitage, Gleave, Higham, Hayes, Halliwell ( Lancs)
Barker (Nottingham & Leicester)
Bateman (Wiltshire & Somerset)
Burgoyne (Devon & Gloucester/Bristol)
Gove, Godbeer (Devon)
Hill (Bristol)
McGuinness (Belfast/Fermanagh/Monaghan/Clones)
Voce (Liverpool )
Wood (Warrington; Liverpool; Chester)
Woodman (Wiltshire & London)

Thank you. I don't know much about Naval ranks so it's really helpful
