I just found Ovenden House while doing a one-name study of my wider family.
The 1911 Census records Daisy Parris (kitchen maid, 21, single) Born London circa 1890 among TEN servants at Ovenden.  The occupants were Randolph Mordecai, his wife and daughter.  He was born in Baltimore USA and "of private means".  Apart from that, all I know is that Ovenden House was built around 1745 and bombed in 1941.  It was never re-built, although the garden wall may have survived.
