Hi Ann, We are researching the late 1700- early 1800's and it is really very hard to actually prove anything without paperwork, which is very difficult during that period, unless you are at the English Archives and can put your little hands on the actual paperwork, being in Australia, that being the difficulty I took what I found and ran with it, as the jigsaw did seem to fit for the period and further investigations seem to prove that they, being George & Elizabeth Larwill were actually the parents.
Ask yourself why she was called Mary Ann Adams Larwill, back then children were often given the mother's surname within their name.
My relationship is....
Maria Berry is my gr gr grandmother.
Should you prove me incorrect please send me the correct ancestors.
Look froward to hearing from you, Cheers Merlot

Hi Merlot, Agree with you regarding Adams probably being the mothers maiden name. I come from Annie Stone (Maria and Richards daughter). And you? Perhaps we should chat?
