Grandfather: Frederick Byron Carver ( 1 of 4 children ) born Norwood South Australia

Great Grandparents:  William Carver and Caroline Emma Mutton. She was born in 1861, Bathurst NSW to John Mutton and Margaret Storey. However she is listed as marrying Horace Wilshire in 1882 in Sydney...

There is no record of marriage to William Carver and Caroline Emma Mutton though it appears she is the same Caroline that married Horace.. No record of children between them at all, but she went on to have 4 children with William Carver.... I have no record of William Carver's birth or death or marriage to Caroline ?

Where do I go from here ?  I have Caroline's birth certificate which confirms her parents identity.

Hi all you avid detectives, I need all the help I can get here.

Have birth certificat of Caroline Emma Mutton 1861, bathurst NSW to John Mutton and Margaret Storey.
Have Frederick Byron Death Certificate which lists Caroline Emma Mutton as Mother and William Carver as father

I also noted the birth of Horace Wilshire 1882 to a Caroline Emma but under marriage I also noted Horace Wilshire Married Caroline 1882

How do you know that the Caroline Emma MUTTON birth on the NSW indexes is the wife of Wm CARVER and mother of Frederick Byron?

Caroline Emma Mutton is listed as the mother of Frederick byron and listed as birth 1861 Bathurst NSW on his death certificate. I have searched all BDM records over australia in search of their marriage to no avail..so am not sure whether Emma named as widow is the same person ?

Also family " folklore" is that Caroline Emma Mutton went on to marry in 1905 Adolphe Emile Marval and my father and siblings all referred to her as Nanna Marval ?  Is this the same person ?  When I search BDM SA records I find a marriage between Adolphe Marval and Caroline Emma Mutton ( McPhillamy ) and that she died in 1941.. I have no idea of where to look to see whether these two Caroline Emma's are the same person.

I also find the McPhillamy's were a very prominent family in the Bathurst area   all leave me with more ? than answers. There is no records in that area of any Caroline Emma Mutton McPhillamy at all. ?
