Death record question
« on: Saturday 31 March 12 05:39 BST (UK) »
Please see the attached image. Just looking for some clarification regarding the age.

It states 83 years but has "14" next to it in small text.

Then, on the far right of the document, it states "fourteen _ _". Can't make out the rest.

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi

The 14 refers to the 14th amendment in the register. If a Registrar makes an amendment then it is numbered and I think at the end of the register there is a list of amendments. In this case it is presumably a correction to the age.

On the right hand side it is Fourteen and the Registrars initials
