yes, marriage was in Mildura
Methodist Church Mildura Victoria Australia 24 Mar 1904

cool, thanks for the electoral roll info, and yes, Keniverous is hard to spell, so
I guess it is written up incorrectly every now and then.  The family wanted to
have the name passed down to a grandchild, but the parents declined... dont know why  ;)

I have looked at that NSW Police Gazette, and I dont think that it was him, I will have to look into it a bit more

cheers everyone!

His name is Lachlan James Kenneth Keeble.

Very interesting info on Frederick Foster!

The Keeble family (Rachel and her children)  also lived on the Riverbank, all the children were born there.  As were all of Harold Keniverus Keebles children except for the last one, all delivered by Rachel Vida, Harolds mother.  Pretty tough times back then.

There is an online tree with a photo of Rachel with one of the two sons who enlisted in WW2.  Perhaps it is your tree ;D

There are 3 WW2 service summaries for Harold and Lachlan.  None of the files have been digitised on NAA.

Did the informant know how many children he had had and any other details?

No, all the information on marriage, spouce and children was unknown.

I think George left before there were any children born to Rachel, and at this stage,

The children bore his name, and by the looks of things, none were biological.  Some have
two birth certificates registered, or have been corrected.

His whearabouts after 1907 were unknown to his family, Reply #4

By this then you must mean his siblings and /or extended family.

He obviously had no "blood descendants"

it seems to be that way, but its hard to prove.  Thats why I would
try and check the electoral rolls to see where George Henry Keeble
was listed throughout the years.  It would give us a clearer picture.
The family members that I am in tough with knew Rachel Vida (their grandmother)
but they didnt talk about their grandad (George), and dont know much
about him.  I am just trying to piece the puzzle together.

I honestly thought I would never find out where he got to.
