« on: Monday 02 April 12 16:03 BST (UK) »
:) Hi, The Black Watch Museum are not doing any questions/research out for some time, so please can any one tell me how to prove my uncle served with them perhaps during the war years or possibley just after, i have no service number, i have his date of birth/place of birth, would that be enough  to find any thing out, also are WW11 records on line regarding the Black Watch.
My uncle was,
Mark Tippey.
born December 1916 Stockton on Tees, Co Durham.

:) Hi Brucel, just proof he served with them would be nice, but yes his service records would be great to go along side maternal side's history, he had a uncle who was lost on H.M.S Natal 1915, cruiser blew up at anchor in Cromarty Firth 1915, his older brother { my grandad } served R.F.A, i have a few service records from my dad's side the Casey's now trying to get hold of the Tippey side.
All the best Derek :) :D ;)
