Thanks for your help Anthony.  I think there might be a connection with the Old Lodge Rd. info.  I will keep looking.  The census info for 1901 didn't help me as it didn't give the names of the parents or places of birth.  I guess the next step would be death certificates.

Appreciate your help!

Are Holywood and Kilmood called parishes?  Would there be street indexes for places in Kilmood?  My grandmother was born in Kilmood, and I'm wondering if the McCulloughs might have lived in Balleygowan {is that in Kilmood} for a while before moving to Belfast.  Would anyone know if there are street indexes for Balleygowan?

Thanks,
Terry-Lynn

Hi Terry,
Kilmood is a townland close to Ballygowan in County Down. See : http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~rosdavies/MAPS/TullynakillKilmoodTownlands.htm

You will find a lot of useful info at Ros davies website about the areas you are enquiring about : http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~rosdavies/index.html

Ballygowan, even now is just a large village, with mostly new houses.
