sargeant gibb information

hello everyone, i am trying to find information about my uncle....robert gibb born on 12th dec 1902 in glasgow scotland.....he was in the army and i think reached the rank of sareant.  his service number was Q265612........if anyone can help finding information about him or what happened to him, it will be appreciated greatly.

The Q suggests an Australian number so I had a look in their archives:

His record has not been digitised but you can request a copy (which is easier to do for non-next of kin than in Britain):

Click on Guest

then search by service number.

Then click the Request a Copy link near the top right corner.
