Hello,

Does anybody use Scotlands People? I'm wondering if it's worth purchasing credits to view an 1871 census record?

I would like to look at Samuel Shields in Dalmellington, Ayshire, born c1854. Is the census similar to an England/Wales census? (In terms of info I will learn from the record)

Scotlands census I have looked at are similar to England/Wales census

If you have Ancestry a index available for him and his family 1871 Scotland Census at Dalmellington
Samuel Shield b-Amston, Lanarkshire (assuming I have the right person)
