John Reed born 1800 first marriage

John Reed married Martha Render in 1844 and he was listed as a widower. I can find no trace of his first wife. I believe he was married in Leeds, probably Leeds St Peters.
He was born 14 January 1800 in Leeds.

1841 they are living with the lamb family - there is a child Margaret Lamb

1851 census John Reed and wife Martha have Margaret Ellen Reed living with them -she is age 11 b. leeds and is described as "Neice"

Maybe Joseph Lamb or Elizabeth was Sarah's sister
or maybe Elizabeth was John Reed's sister???

Need to find Elizabeth Lamb's maiden name

and also Sarah Atack's maiden name

I have found possibilities for some of the witnesses at the marriages - who may/may not be related if you need them

Thanks for this info. It does look like Sarah Atack/Spolton was John Reed's first wife. I'm currently searching for more info on Spolton. Then plan to do more on the Lambs.
