looking for info on the cushen family abbeyleix, Father was Charles mother was margaret(formly Quinn) there was Ellen who married Thomas Whelan from ballyadams in Sept. 1909 they had at least one son(Patrick) mary or Annie mary (1881) Margaret(1883)Nora (1896) and Carlotte (1899) They all went to boston area Annie in 1909 and the other 3 sisters in April 1912. anyone any leads how i could trace them in the states

Hi Advent, abbeyleix caught my attention,am from the same place,small bit of info re cushen. correct about Mary [Annie Mary] 1909 to USA.Sponsored by a mrs Quinn inWatertown.mass.Four sisters in april 1912.Margaret b.dec 1883 Alice b.1890 Nora b1896. Charlotte b 1899.All to Brookline, Mass. Parents married in Abbeyleix in Dec 1878. Very hard to trace weddings in USA but will give it my best shot.Can anyone advise on reliable site for marriages/deaths in USA.  ps while in abbeyleix your family lived in Stucker Hill,,part of upper main street,regrds,Feno

Each U.S. state is responsible for it's own vital records (births, marriages, deaths) but www.familysearch.org does have lots- especially good for Massachusetts.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!
