I have had great success with the I of M library for press info, I was given this link that was due to be up and running soon,

Also this chap was great  -   Alan.Franklin[at]gov.im (replace the at for @)

the papers up to c.1964 are digitised and available at iMuseum - there are plans to put online sometime this year (subscription model to be determined) - the IoM Times was part of the BL digitisation that was available via larger public libraries tho the payment model changed recently
any thing with a Manx Connection
