36th Regiment of Foot -Portsmouth 1817 - Thomas Masters
« on: Sunday 08 April 12 03:03 BST (UK) »
Sgt Thomas Masters and wife Elizabeth baptised their children Ann and Thomas at St Thomas Church, Portsmouth, on 18th & 22 April 1817. The battalion had recently arrived from duty in Cork.
Sgt Thomas was then posted to Zante (Ionian Islands Greece). Where he died April 1821 (WO records).
There were other Masters in Portsmouth around that time, also!

I can make a start for you with the fact that the 36th Foot were the 2nd Batt The Worcestershire Regiment.

It would be worth you putting this request on the Armed Forces Board.
