Yes a distant cousin has just e-mailed me with this information. He had quite an exciting life.

My distant cousin has found newspaper cuttings of the team. Apparently there were two Nolans in the team possibly related. I am a member of British Newspaper Archives but having trouble fiding the article

Does anyone have any information on the players of the South Lancashire Regiment Army FA Cup Winners of 1899. My Great Uncle John Nolan was Captain of the team, but I also see that another Nolan played for the team.

Also is there any newspaper articles relating to this game.
