Gunn family living in Achnalt 1901
« on: Monday 09 April 12 20:28 BST (UK) »
Trying to find out about the family of Angus and Ann Gunn.
Angus was born Clyne 1861 and Anne (Campbell I believe) born Petty1855.
On the 1901 census their children were;-
Jane b1884 Petty
Elizabeth b 1885 Roskeen
Christina b188 Petty
Annie b 1891 Petty
Isabella Fraser b 1891 Petty
Angus was listed as Station master and postmaster Achanalt.
i do not know if the family remained in the area or if any of the girls married there.  Any help would be appreciated.

Hi

Have you checked the 1911 census on Scotlands People to see where they were living at that time

Any marriages for the girls would be found by searching on Scotlands People which is a paysite  (credits)

Many thanks to you both.  How sad to see four of the girls dying before their parents.  just Isabella Fraser Gunn to find.  I suppose it is possible she was in Glasgow when mother died there. I will look at the websites in detail.  The memorial site is fascinating.
