Thank you for the information on Patrick Fallon. It gives a starting point to try and search.
Has been very frustrating so far, as my father never talked about his family. Only after his death did we learn of him being one of the 'home children' .
Again many thanks,
Nora C

Hi Rainbow,

I can't help directly but thought I'd post as the names are very familiar in my tree.

http://fallon.rootschat.net/37.html

This is my Thomas Fallon/Fallen born ~ 1811 in Ireland somewhere but no idea where.

I know Michael and Thomas are not unusual names names but thought I'd post anyway.

I am completely stuck at this point myself.

Thomas' wife maybe Bridget or Margaret Long though this is to be confirmed.

All the best with your search,
Pam
 ;D

Hi Pam, my 5th Great Grandfather was a Thomas Fallon born in 1780, County Galway somewhere.  His daughther Margaret Fallon (born 1796) had one son, born 1816 who moved to Australia in 1835 when he was 19 that's how I ended up born in Australia 150 years later!  (I am now living in Ireland).
Does your Thomas Fallon/Fallen born 1811 have a grandfather named Thomas born in 1780 ?
I am searching to find more of my Fallon family members.
I might have to pay a visit to the geneology records places in, and around Galway county and have a search there.
All the best, Sharon

Hi Sharon,

Since posting I have found out my Fallen/Fallon’s are from Sligo.
