Bruce and Walshaw Heckmondwicke
« on: Saturday 14 April 12 00:12 BST (UK) »
Hello

I am trying to continue my tree which my grandfather started in the 1970's (without the benefit of the web!!) I have found that one of my ancestors (GGG Grandmother) is Sarah Walshaw b around 1833 (her parents were Winifred Lee and George Walshaw of Heckmondwicke. Sarah married Frank Bruce in 1851 and I am desended from their daughter Winifred Bruce.
Sarah was buried in Heckmondwick cemetry plot sect b #284.  I am interested to find out as much as possible about this side of the family and would be grateful of any help any of you can provide as I am unable to visit West Yorkshire at the moment.

Many Thanks in anticipation.  ;D

Hello

I have some brief information from 1841 census I think but not sure where to get more information without subscriptions which I have found a bit expensive! If you could direct me I would be grateful.  Thanks for your prompt reply too!

Sharon
