Lost Soul
« on: Wednesday 18 May 05 13:30 BST (UK) »
I had spent a long time looking for my 2nd great Grandfather who it now looks as though he was Samuel Wyatt Busby.. born c 1823 he was born in Adderbury in Oxford. He married a Sarah ??? who was born in Wiggington, Oxfordshire in c 1823 I have no details on his birth and cannot find him on the IGI at all...  or can't find a marriage either...

I would really appreciate any help that you may be able to give me... this lost soul is really driving me mad  :'(

He appeared in the census in 1881 in Timber Mill Clive Passage, Birmingham, Warwick, England. RG11/2993/64/1

on the 1861 he is in  St George, Birmingham RG9/2156/86/26

on the 1871 he is in All Saints, Birmingham RG10/3130/36/85

on the 1891 he is in St George, Birmingham RG12/2386/70/24

maybe someone with access to the parish records for Adderbury may be able to guide me in the right direction

Thanks in advance

Mo

Thanks Audrey but I am convinced he is Oxford... and the dates are all the same on the censuses... I am confused now  :-\

I have ordered his death cert so we will see what that offers

Thanks again

An update, Got an e-mail with fills in some gaps...

Samuel wyatt Busby was the illigitamate child of Ann Wyatt... born in Adderbury and christened there in feb 1823.

He married Sarah Powell in Wiggerton in 1843 and turns up on the 1851 census in Adderbury...

now.....

Ann Wyatt?? born in Milton, Adderbury when?

I have maxed out the credit card and ordered the marriage cert but if someone finds Ann Wyatt do let me know :D

Thanks again
Mo :)
