Immigration Records US to UK
« on: Sunday 15 April 12 16:12 BST (UK) »
Good afternoon. Could anyone please advise me how to find the above please? I can find my great grandfather Joseph Henry Crowther travelling UK to US in the Ellis Island records but not back to the UK in the 1920's/30's. I know he definitely did come back at least once but struggling to find these passages.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Regards

JACK

Hello there and welcome to Rootschat.

Can you tell us his DOB and where and when did he die?

Hello I don't think that's him. I've got him in Lackawanna as a Boarder/lodger in the 1930 census. And in the 1940 census still in Lackawanna and then married to a Mary (she was originally from Italy).

There's a Joseph Crowther, age 44, on the Berengeria from NY to Southampton, arriving 22 Jul. 1928.  He was listed as an engineer.  He was going to 48 Thorton St., Leeds.  He resided in the US, and the country of intended future residence was "foreign countries."

In case you didn't see it, his WWII Draft Registration Card is here:  https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/VQFN-H8C

Hi Jack,

Have you tried the family search site, it will show what is available for Pennsylvania.
